For a business trip to Angers, choose accommodation around your appointments: the city centre for a congress, the station area for frequent departures, or somewhere near the Exhibition Centre for very early logistics. Opposite the castle, Mon Château Angers offers an apartment with fibre Wi-Fi, a kitchenette, round-the-clock self check-in and an invoice on request, while journeys to business venues need separate planning.
Which area should you choose for business?
The right location depends less on a prestigious address than on your actual schedule. Before booking, list each appointment’s exact location, attendance times and any equipment you need to carry. An exhibition at the Exhibition Centre involves different journeys from a meeting at the Convention Centre.
| Your priority | Area to consider | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| An early train departure | Saint-Laud station | Walking route with luggage and departure time |
| Attending a congress | City centre | Access to the Convention Centre |
| Exhibiting with equipment | Near the Exhibition Centre | Exhibitor entrance and permitted parking |
| Combining work and evenings out | Historic centre and castle area | Daily journeys to appointments |
This table offers selection advice, not measured journey times. Read where to stay in Angers and our apartment or hotel comparison.
Saint-Laud station and meeting locations
Saint-Laud is your railway arrival point. For the apartment, think “a few minutes away”: we do not promise a five-minute walk. With luggage, a connection or reduced mobility, plan a suitable route and allow extra time.
Do not treat every “business district” as having the same journey time. An address near the station, a city-centre office and an outlying site require different itineraries. Ask your contact for the full address, building and entrance; a company name alone is insufficient.
Our Angers without a car guide helps with planning. Check rail times and fares for your date: a generic TGV journey time cannot replace an actual booking.
The Convention Centre: check its name
The official name is Centre de Congrès Jean-Monnier, not Jean-Monnier. Opposite the Jardin des Plantes, it hosts congresses, seminars, conventions and cultural events 4. Use this name when searching for directions or contacting the organiser.
Tram lines A and B serve the Centre de Congrès stop. Destination Angers also lists buses 3, 4, 9 and 10 at Mendès France 1. Check the timetable for your travel day, particularly for a return after dinner or a late conference.
From the apartment, plan the walk to a suitable stop or compare walking all the way. We do not suggest a tram leaves from the building’s door or quote an unverified door-to-door time. Include waiting, walking and participant registration in your estimate.
Reaching the Exhibition Centre
The Parc des Expositions is in Verrières-en-Anjou. Destination Angers describes it as ten minutes from the city centre: this is a general indication, not a guaranteed journey from the apartment during rush hour 2.
For public transport, the official access page lists buses 4 and 11 towards Angers Parc Expo, alighting at Parc des Expositions 1. The tram does not serve the halls directly, so an “all-tram” journey would be misleading. Check actual services and connections for your departure time.
By car or taxi, allow extra time during major events. For SIVAL, consult the edition-specific shuttle arrangements rather than assuming that they apply to every exhibition. Our Angers exhibitions and congresses guide brings together useful information.
Apartment or hotel for a work assignment?
An apartment may suit you if you want to prepare a simple meal, have a bedroom separate from the living room or return to a more personal setting after meetings. A hotel may be preferable if your travel policy requires a staffed reception, served breakfast or particular shared services.
Mon Château Angers should not be described as a business centre. Fibre Wi-Fi is available, but we do not promise a contractual speed, ergonomic workstation, printer or meeting room. For an important video call, check your technical requirements before travelling and bring your usual equipment.
Self check-in, Wi-Fi and invoices
Self check-in is available around the clock under the arrangements provided for your reservation. This helps when your train arrives late, but does not mean entering at any time before your stay begins. Confirm arrival conditions with Cédric Guilleux, your Superhost host.
An invoice is available on request. Send the details your accounts team needs before your stay: company name, billing address and any internal reference. We do not promise a particular VAT treatment or reimbursement by your employer; check your organisation’s rules.
The apartment starts from €75 per night excluding cleaning. This starting price does not guarantee the same rate during an exhibition. Check availability and the total through direct booking, then review the conditions before confirming.
Planning a day without unnecessary journeys
Where possible, group appointments by area and plan your return. For a business breakfast, client dinner or break between meetings, our restaurant suggestions offer a starting point; contact each venue about availability.
If driving, read where to park in the city centre. Suitable overnight parking does not replace exhibition delivery permission. If extending your trip, browse our Angers guide.
From the apartment
At 6 boulevard du Général de Gaulle, Mon Château Angers is a 35 m² ground-floor apartment directly opposite Angers Castle. The living room overlooks the castle; the bedroom faces a quiet courtyard. The kitchenette offers flexibility between working days.
The maximum capacity is four: two in the bedroom and two on the living-room sofa bed. For colleagues, check that this arrangement suits you: there are not two separate bedrooms. Read about the accommodation and practical arrangements before booking.
FAQ
Is the apartment suitable for a late arrival?
Yes, self check-in is available around the clock under your stay’s arrangements. Confirm instructions and the start of your access period before travelling.
Can I receive an invoice?
Yes, on request. Provide billing details and check your company’s requirements beforehand.
Can I reach the Exhibition Centre entirely by tram?
No: do not rely on a direct tram service to the halls. Check buses, event shuttles or driving options for your schedule.
Do Jean-Monnier and Jean-Monnier mean the same venue here?
The Angers venue in this guide is officially the Centre de Congrès Jean-Monnier. Use that name to avoid an incorrect search.
